ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT INTERNATIONAL AIR PORT PARO – THIMPHU
On your arrival at airport in Paro you will be received by representative from Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek (BDTT) after especial welcome by our representative you’re going to visit National Museum (known as Ta Dzong) watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17thcentury) and now it has been turned into National Museum, followed by Paro Dzong (also known as Rinpung dzong is the venue for the annual Paro Tsechu festival held every spring). After the lunch you’re going to processed through beautiful valley of Paro to the capital city of Bhutan (Famously known as Thimphu). On reaching Thimphu check in hotel and take short breath. Towards the evening visit Tashicho dzong (the fortress of the glorious religion houses the throne room of His Majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monk body).Over Night at THIMPHU
DAY 02: THIMPHU- PUNAKHA WITH BIKING
After Breakfast processed to Punakha via Dochula pass with biking in the dense forest at the altitude of 3150m aprox..if whether is clear you will view the most magnificent of Eastern Himalayas splashing with colorful prayer flags and different spices of Rhododendron. Take Lunch at Dochula cafeteria enjoying with scenery. Further downhill from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley of Punakha. On the way visit Chhimi Lhakhang (famously known as fertility temple) followed by Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho chu and Mo chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD),( Overnight at PUNAKHA)
DAY 03: PUNAKHA
After breakfast, drive about ten kilometers north of Punakha, it is known as khamsum yullay Namgyel chorten which is located on a hill rock of Nyizergang and it was built by HM the Queen Ashi Tshering Yangden in December 1999. The chorten is situated in idyllic rural area. It take 45minutes hike from the car point and once you’re inside you will see the worth full paintings which are beautiful and present an incredibly complex iconography followed by wolakha Nunnery which is 30minute drive from the Junction of Punakha highway.(Overnight at Punakha)
DAY 04: PUNAKHA-THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING
After Breakfast , with biking processed to Thimphu and visit Memorial Chorten (the stupa was built in 1974 in memory of the late his majesty the king Jig me Dorji Wang chuck),further biking toward the Buddha point to see beautiful landscape of Thimphu town.After that visit Changangkha Lhakhang, (the drukpa kagyu monastery on the hill top of Thimphu town. Lunch in Thimphu Town,after that Visit Takin Preserve at Motithang. And further visit nunnery monastary which is preach on top of the hill above Tashichhoe dzong, you will reach Drubthob Goemba. This monastery today houses of Zilukha nunnery. You will get a great view of Tashichhoedzong from this monastery.( Over night at THIMPHU)
DAY 05: THIMPHU-TANGGO MONASTERY HiKE
After Breakfast transfer to the North of Thimphu known as Tango monastery (The word Tango literally means horse head and is derived from the deity Tandin (Hayagriva) that features the head of a horse. The present day monastery was built in 1689 by Gyalsay Tenzin Rabgyal. Following the trail, the walk uphill takes about 40 minutes to reach the monastery.)Cheri (it was established in 1620, by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the founder of the Bhutanese state. The monastery,which is now a major teaching and retreat center of the Southern Drukpa Kagyu order.And through biking back to Thimphu town and lunch in town. After lunch visit Centenary Farmers Market (Most of the Thimphu’s population and many valley dwellers converge on the bustling weekend market, held by the side of Wangchu River. A wide range of foodstuffs and local arts and crafts are sold at the market, which runs from Friday afternoon till Sunday evening. A visit to the market provides great photo opportunities, as well as the chance to mingle with local people and perhaps buy souvenirs. And then Visit Handicrafts Shops( A wide assortment of colorful, hand woven textiles and other craft products is available for purchase at the gift from Handicrafts and many smaller handicrafts shops around the town.) Overnight at THIMPHU
DAY 06: THIMPHU-PARO SIGHTSEEING
Early Breakfast, transfer to Paro Visit Nishioka Chorten,(the stupa built in memory of late Dasho Nishioka, a Japanese citizen who had served in the service of agriculture for 28 years in Bhutan),on the way stop at the Bondey village for the view of Paddy field (TANADA).After lunch visit Dumtse lhakhang (The unusual and circular Lhakhang, reminiscent of the Shana, or the black hat worn by the Bhutanese Black Hat dancers was, built by the great Builder of iron chain bridges, Drupthob Thangthong Gyalpo. Overnight at PARO
DAY 07: TAKTSANG MONASTREY HIKE
After Breakfast you are going transfer with biking till the hiking point to Taktshang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), round trip hike to Taktshang monastery which is about 3-4 hours from the car point. Lunch at the cafeteria (view point).After lunch sightseeing through biking visit Drugyel Dzong (the fortress in ruins built in commemoration over Tibetan invasion in 17thcentury).after that biking towards Dumtse lhakhang (The unusual and circular lhakhang, reminiscent of the Shana, or the black hat worn by the Bhutanese Black Hat dancers was, built by the great Builder of iron chain bridges,Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo) ).Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan (Overnight at PARO)
DAY 08: DEPARTURE
Breakfast in hotel and then drive to airport for the flight to the next destination. See off by the guide and the driver from the Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek (BDTT)
