Western Bhutan Motorcycle Tour 11 Nights 12 Days

ITINERARY DETAILS
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AT PARO INTRNATIONAL AIRPORT) PARO– THIMPHU
On your arrival at airport in Paro you will be received by Guide from Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek(BDTT). After you welcome by representative you first visit will National Museum (known as Ta Dzong since it has been turned into National Museum, was the watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17thcentury) followed by Paro Dzong (also known as Rinpung dzong is the venue for the annual Paro Tsechu festival held every spring).Lunch in Paro town and then transfer to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. On reaching Thimphu check in hotel. Towards the evening visit Tashichodzong (the fortress of the glorious religion houses, the throne room of His Majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monk body). Overnight at THIMPHU
DAY 02: THIMPHU- PUNAKHA WITH MOTOER CYCLING
Breakfast in hotel and processed to Punakha with your motor cycling via Dochula pass at 3150m, one can have a magnificent view of Eastern Himalayas on the clear weather from the pass. Lunch at Dochula cafeteria. Further downhill from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley of Punakha. On the way you can stop your motor cycle and hike to Chhimi Lhakhang (the monastery of fertility) followed by Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho chu and Mo chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD),( Overnight at PUNAKHA)

DAY 03: PUNAKHA
After breakfast, drive about ten kilometers north of Punakha, it is known as khamsum yullay Namgyel chorten which is located on a hill rock of Nyizergang and it was built by HM the Queen Ashi Tshering Yangden in December 1999. The chorten is situated in idyllic rural area. It take 45minutes hike from the car point and once you’re inside you will see the worth full paintings which are beautiful and present an incredibly complex iconography. After your picnic lunch visit wolakha Nunnery which is 30minute drive from the Junction of Punakha highway, Overnight at Punkha.
Day 04: PUNAKHA –TRONGSA
Today you will have early breakfast because it is long journey towards the Trongsa, crossing Pelela pass at 3360m. Photograph break at the pass, further 1hr 30min drive from the pass will take to the village of Chendebji where the lunch will be served in Tabdey restaurant near Chenbdji stupa, Further cycling from the lunch spot will reach to Trongsa and visit dzong (the fortress in central Bhutan from where the Wang chuck dynasty came to power in 1907).And then reaching hotel check in at Trongsa town. (Over Night at TRONGSA)

Day 05: TRONGSA-BUMTHANG JAKAR SIGTSEEING
Breakfast in hotel and transfer to Bumthang with same Transport however by lunch you will reach to Bumthang town and take lunch after lunch visit Jakar dzong (this fortresswas initially built as the temple in 1549 AD, it is now the administrative centre for Bumthang district),Jampa lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, which date backs to 7th century before the arrival of Buddhism in the country). And visit Chakar lhakhang (means the iron castle was the palace of the King from India who built Nine storied iron castle in the 8th century)followed by Kurjey lhakhang (the temple dedicated to the great Buddhist master Guru Padmasambhava who introduced Buddhism in 8th century). Overnight at JAKAR

DAY 06: BUMTHANG- GANGTEY GOMPA (Over Night at PHOBJIKHA)

DAY 07: PHOBJIKHATO GANGTEY GOMPA HIKE, BIKING IN PHOBJIKHA VILLYE
Breakfast in hotel and by motor cycling transfer towards Gangtey.and visit Gangtay Gonpa.Than visit Black Necked Crane Information Center in Phobjikha valley (the wintering home for the black necked crane)followed by Ngelung Drechaling lhakhang.Over Night at PHOBJIKHA (1350m)

DAY 08: PHOBJIKHA-THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING
Breakfast in hotel and visit Memorial Chorten through motor cycling (the stupa was built in 1974 in memory of the late his majesty the king Jig me Dorji Wang chuck),further motor cycling toward the Buddha point to see beautiful landscape of Thimphu town.( Over Night at THIMPHU)

DAY 09: THIMPHU-TANGGO MONASTERY
Breakfast in hotel and by motor cycling visit Tango monastery (The word Tango literally means horse head and is derived from the deity Tandin (Hayagriva) that features the head of a horse. The present day monastery was built in 1689 by Gyalsay Tenzin Rabgyal. Following the trail, the walk uphill takes about 40 minutes to reach the monastery.). Cheri (it was established in 1620, by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the founder of the Bhutanese state. The monastery,which is now a major teaching and retreat center of the Southern Drukpa Kagyu order.And through biking back toThimphu town and lunch in town. After lunch visit Centenary Farmers Market (Most of the Thimphu’s population and many valley dwellers converge on the bustling weekend market, held by the side of Wangchu River. A wide range of foodstuffs and local arts and crafts are sold at the market, which runs from Friday afternoon till Sunday evening.A visit to the market provides great photo opportunities, as well as the chance to mingle with local people and perhaps buy souvenirs. And then Visit Handicrafts Shops( A wide assortment of colorful, hand woven textiles and other craft products is available for purchase at the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and many smaller handicrafts shops around the town.) DAY 10: THIMPHU-PARO SIGHTSEEING
After breakfast, you will drive to paro and upon reaching Paro you will go for ride of 35km drive to chele la makes an interesting road excursion and is an excellent jumping-off point for day walks. Chele la separates Haa and Paro valley and at 3810m, it is one of the highest motor able pass in Bhutan. The drive till here from either Paro or Haa is through dense spruce and larch forests according to the seasons. On a clear day, there are spectacular views of Mt. Jumolhari, Jichu Drake and adjoining peaks to the North West, as well as the view of Haa and Paro valley. After lunch, you will visit Drugyel Dzong (which has been reconstructed to commemorate the birth of the Gyelsey Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck in 2016). The Dzong was initially built to commemorate victory over Tibetan invasion in 17th century. On a clear day this spot offers a magnificent vista of Mount Jhomolhari,on the way back to the town you will visit the oldest temple called Kichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan's oldest and most revered temples, which was built by a Tibetan king in 7th century to subdue the demoness and followed by visit which was built in 17th Century and visit to Ta Dzong from where you can enjoy the view of the valley. Overnight at hotel in Paro.

DAY 11: PARO-TAKTSANG MONASTREY HIKE
Breakfast in hotel and drive motor cycle till the hiking point to Taktshang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), round trip hike to Taktshang monastery which is about 3-4 hours from the car point. Lunch at the cafeteria (view point).After lunch sightseeing through cycling visit Drugyel Dzong (the fortress in ruins built in commemoration over Tibetan invasion in 17thcentury).after that by cycling back to town and visit Dumtse lhakhang (The unusual and circular lhakhang, reminiscent of the Shana, or the black hat worn by the Bhutanese Black Hat dancers was, built by the great Builder of iron chain bridges,Drupthob Thangtong Gyalpo) ).Towards evening stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan (Over Night at PARO)

DAY 12: DEPARTURE
Breakfast in hotel and then drive to the airport for the flight t the next destination. See off by the guide and the driver from the Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek.
