Day 01: from Bangkok to Paro
DAY 01: ARRIVE AT PARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, PARO(2250m)-THIMPHU
On your arrival, you will be received by our representative from Bhutan Dendrobium Tour and Trek (BDTT). Your first Visit will at Paro Ringpung Dzong (Ringpung Dzong means the heap of jewels fortress). It is the venue for the annual Paro festival held in every spring. Then you will be taken to National Museum which is used as a watch tower of Paro Dzong in 17th century, but later it has been turned into National Museum. If time permit stroll in and around the town for last shopping in Bhutan. Overnight at Paro
Day 02: Paro to Bumdra camping
After an early breakfast, you will drive to Paro,Sang choekor, where your trekking crewmember will be waiting for you. In order to enjoy Paro view you can even visit sang choekor monastery which is a Buddhist collage and the trek will start from here to Bumdra. The trek to Bumdra for about 4-5 hours walk will be ascent of a shady, forested ridge, bring you to a clearing with prayer flags and view down into both the paro and Do chhu valley. Bumdra,which is blessed by hundred thousand dakinies. The chhoe Tse lhakhand nestles on the mountainside of sang choekor monastery. The trail undulates before the last steep section up to the pretty temple, which offers commanding views south over paro and north wards to the snowcapped Himalayan. On the way crewmember will serve picnic lunch after lunch you’re going to plunge back to ancient forest then you will come out onto a high wide meadow dotted with sacred chorten and prayer flags. Your camp for the night is tucked away just under Bumdra monastery and offers unimpeded views of the Himalayans range. After taking short breath visit monastery and mediate there, as per your interest. Over night at Bumdra camp. (3800 meters aprox..).
Day 03: Bumdra to Taktsand –Thimphu
After breakfast, you will start your trek to Paro which is 2 hour trek via taktsang monastery, after one hour of descent you will catch glimpses of the golden roofs to temple below. The path snakes across the mountainside between these monasteries before reaching the gardens of Zangtopelri, from there you will get view of the Taktsang monastery. In the few hour you will reach to Taktsang monastery (the monastery perched on the side of a cliff at a height of 900 meters above the Paro valley), you will have your lunch at taktsang cafeteria (view point) after lunch you will continue falling down to the road where your vehicle will be waiting for you then you will directly processed to capital city(Famously known as Thimphu)which is 1,1/2 hour from Paro. Towards evening stroll in the Town for shopping from Craft bazaar and handicraft shop (2.320m aprox..). Overnight at Thimphu
Day 04: Thimphu sightseeing
After Breakfast, visit Memorial Chorten(the stupa built n 1974 in the memory of our third kingJigme Dorji Wangchuck).Tashichhodzong(the fortress of the glorious religion, houses the throne room of his majesty the King, the main secretariat building and the central monastic body. Lunch in Thimphu town and after lunch visit Painting School (Commonly known as the Painting School, the Institute offers you a glimpse of novices learning 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan. It is a hands-on trip for you. Enjoy few moments with the future artists of the country.) And then visit Folk heritage Museum (This museum provides glimpse into the traditional Bhutanese life.)Overnight at Thimphu
Day 05: Thimphu-Punakha
After Breakfast processed to Punakha via Dochula, passing through dense forest at the altitude of 3150m aprox..if whether is clear you will view the most magnificent of Eastern Himalayas splashing with colorful prayer flags and different spices of Rhododendron. Take Lunch at Dochula cafeteria enjoying with scenery. Further downhill from the pass will take you to the warm and humid valley of Punakha. On the way visit Chhimi Lhakhang (famously known as fertility temple) followed by Punakha dzong (majestically located at the junction of the two rivers Pho chu and Mo chu, meaning male and female river, it was built in 1637AD, and was the capital of Bhutan since 1955 AD),( Overnight at PUNAKHA)
Day 06: Punakha Sightseeing
After breakfast, drive about ten kilometers north of Punakha, it is known as khamsum yullay Namgyel chorten which is located on a hill rock of Nyizergang and it was built by HM the Queen Ashi Tshering Yangden in December 1999. The chorten is situated in idyllic rural area. It take 45minutes hike from the car point and once you’re inside you will see the worth full paintings which are beautiful and present an incredibly complex iconography followed by wolakha Nunnery which is 30minute drive from the Junction of Punakha highway.(Overnight at Punakha)
Breakfast at hotel, Today, your travel will be the second longest journey towards the eastern part of Bhutan.on the way you will have authentic view of many sown cap of Himalayans through Pelela pass, (attitude of3,360m aprox.) and Rukubji valley. Further you’re going to stop at Chendebji chorten for photo break. Visit in chorten(This stupa is one of the oldest stupa in Bhutan). Lunch at Chendebji cafeteria.After lunch 2hrs drive towords the Trongsa,on the way you will have great view of Trongsa Dzong on top of hill,after reaching Trongsa town visit Trongsa Dzong and drive to Bumthang passing through Yotongla pass (3,400m) and KiKila pass (2,700m) (2,600m) (8,530ft) After that you will reach to coldest Dzongkhag in Bhutan.( overnight at Bumthang)
Day 08: Bumthang Sightseeing
After Breakfast your going visit to Jakar dzong (this fortress was initially built as the temple in 1549 AD, it is now the administrative centre for Bumthang district), visit Jampa lhakhang (one of the oldest temple in Bhutan, which date backs to 7th century before the arrival of Buddhism in the country). And visit Chakar lhakhang (means the iron castle was the palace of the King from India who built Nine storied iron castle in the 8th century) Today you will have lunch in farmhouse. Your trip would be incomplete without a test of Bhutanese food. So farmhouse owner will serve Bumthapas nodules(Famously known as Bumtabs puta) which is make by buckwheat after lunch visit Kurjey lhakhang (the temple dedicated to the great Buddhist master Guru Padmasambhava who introduced Buddhism in 8th century). Overnight at JAKAR
Day 09: Bumthang-Lhuntse Kurtoe khoma
Breakfast at hotel, (take pack lunch or lunch in local restaurant). Today is the longest journey in Eastern Bhutan, which is quite different from western and central Bhutan in terms of development and lifestyle. The steepness of the region provides the tourists with some spectacular views, with gushing waterfalls and impressive heights. The drive on this way is an exhilarating 10 hours, particularly the Thrumshing La (pass) (attitude of 3,750 meters aprox). On your arrival you can either relax in hotel or wander around Lhuntse town in the evening. Overnight in Lhuntse.
Day 10: Kurtoe (khoma-Mongar)
Breakfast in hotel,(take pack lunch). You will have short hike towards Khoma village, a place that is very famous for its textiles in Bhutan. You will see women folks weaving different types of textiles. If you are interest to buy textile you will get from this place in reasonable prices. After lunch visit Lhuntse Dzong. After that Drive towards the Monger which is 3hrs.15mins from Lhuntse.If time permit Visit mongar Dzong. Free time around the Mongar town, (1,600) (5,250ft) and overnight at Mongar.
Day 11: Mongar-Trashiyangtse
After breakfast, you will start your journey towards Tashiyangtse, which is a small, pretty, quiet town. The people are known for making wooden bowls and containers, which are said to be the best in Bhutan. Visit the Arts School and the Chorten Kora. Along the way to Tashiyangtse you will stop at the Gom Kora temple, behind which is a large black rock. It is said that Guru Rimpoche meditated in a cave of that rock and that you can also see the impression of his thumb, his hat, and his body on the rock. You will also visit the abandoned iron chain-link bridge behind the village of Duksum. Legend says that the bridge is the last remaining bridge of those built by a famous Tibetan iron bridge builder called Thangthong Gyalpo in the 15th century. Overnight in Trashiyangtse.
Day 12: Trashiyangtse-Phongme
Breakfast at hotel,visit Trashi Yangtse Dzong drive back to Trashigang which is 52km and takes 1hrs 30mins. Lunch at Trashigang.After lunch drive to Phongme which takes 1hrs.30mins from Trashigang and Phongme is located at the altitude of 1,450m aprox..if time permit round hiking of village or try to play Bhutanese archery .Overnight at farmhouse.
Day 13: Phongme-Trashigang
Breakfast at farm house,(take pack lunch). Visit Phongme temple. Drive to Toksing Sing pang which is 10km and takes 45mins from Phongme. After that visit Pakaling temple and Radii Temple which takes around 45mins Visit local weaving center Bura Drive back to Trashigang, Trashigang is (1,070m) (3,510ft). Overnight at Trashigang
Day 14: Trashigang-Samdrup Jongkhar
Breakfast at hotel (take pack lunch) then drive to Samdrup Jongkhar which takes almost 6hr for 180 km from Trashigang. On the way visit kanglung temple then drive to Samdrup Jongkhar, Samdrup Jongkhar is (176m) (352ft) Overnight at Samdrup Jongkhar
Day 15: Samdrup Jongkhar-Guwahati( Depature)
